Person Centred Care

At Beulah Vista we deliver person-centred care to all our residents. Our residents are supported, facilitated, and enabled to contribute to their own care through shared decision making, equality of communication and mutual respect.

We are aware that there is no place like home and that many people would choose to remain there if possible. However, there are times when living at home can prove difficult and moving into a care home is the best option. It can be overwhelming moving to a new home so by getting to know our residents, it helps us to deliver the best possible care for them. We encourage our residents to bring in personal belongings such as pictures and ornaments to help familiarise them and offer reassurance.

Our ‘My Life Story’ helps us to capture the background of each resident, which is completed before someone moves in. This information is shared with the team so that when a resident moves in, the team can help them to settle into Beulah Vista.
