Our Teams
I have been working in the care industry for the past 15 years and have worked in many roles in both Nursing Homes and within the Community. I qualified as an RGN in 2013 and completed my studies at Kingston University. Dementia care has always been a keen passion of mine so after qualifying as a nurse, I went on to study additional modules at Worcester University specifically in dementia care.
In my previous role, I was the registered Home Manager for three years at a 51 bedded Nursing Home which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was previously the Deputy Manager of a 70 bedded, commissioning Nursing Home in Carshalton near Sutton, and here is where I developed a passion for commissioning. I feel privileged to be opening Beulah Vista and have enjoyed all the challenges a new home faces. Being here from the beginning gives me the best opportunity to lead by example and support the team to implement person-centered care for our residents.
I have also worked as an Admiral Nurse based in Sutton Social Services for 18 months. An Admiral Nurse is a specialist dementia nurse who gives expert advice and support to families caring for a loved one living with dementia. This role not only enabled me to help families through difficult times, but it allowed me to deliver training to other Health Care professionals enhancing their knowledge of dementia.
I know that the key to excellent care is strong communication and believe that you are only as good as your team. I have seen how the needs of people have changed and how the demand for nursing and dementia care has increased over the years. I am determined to be a part of the positive change for the future of care.
I am a Mental Health Nurse and qualified in 2016 at Greenwich University. I have previously worked as a Forensic Nurse but for the most part of my nursing, I have worked in Dementia care. No two days are the same in a Care Home, so we are always learning something new. I take great pleasure in caring for people living with Dementia, including the frail and elderly and feel this is what I was born to do.
I have previously worked as a Clinical Lead/ Deputy Manager in another Care Home before coming to Beulah Vista. It has been an exciting experience coming to work as a commissioning Deputy Manager and I look forward to developing and supporting team members, to give the best possible care to our residents.
My role consists of being part of the leadership team supporting the Home Manager by ensuring a smooth running of the care home.
I have many years of experience working in the care sector supporting older people, young people and children. I have personal care experience as was the main carer for my dad and have loved being a carer ever since. I find it to be very rewarding to work in the care industry gaining experience and obtaining a Level 5 in Health and Social Care. Before I worked in care, I was a Deputy Finance Assistant for a children’s centre and have several years of experience as an administrator.
I love supporting the team at Beulah Vista and have an open-door policy. I look forward to supporting new team members and our residents.
My Name is Lindsay Massey, and I am the Marketing & Resident Wellbeing Manager here at Beulah Vista. My role here is to raise awareness of our home within the community, inviting when safe to do so, local schools, churches, groups into our home. To liaise with family members who wish to place their loved ones in our care, to ensure that it is a safe, smooth, and caring transition and as stress free as it can be. I worked for Legal & General for 27 years before deciding I needed to work in a job that made a difference. I have been working in care almost continuously for that last 18 years. I have done many jobs from reception, HR, Resident Accounts, Dining, Activities and Marketing. The latter two being my favourites. I am a people person and like to think that I can help families with the difficult decisions and help the residents to enjoy as many different activities as they can and embrace being in care rather than being frightened of it. The out of work Lindsay, lives with husband Stuart, my mother and rescue dog Bosco. Both of my boys have moved out to live with their girlfriends, but we still see each other a lot as they are local and they all play golf (I try!), I like cooking, travelling, reading, walking, Pilates, socialising with friends and recently I have taken up cold water swimming!
I studied carpentry and multi-trades at college and have a passion for woodwork. I have previously worked as Maintenance covering 5 Care Homes. I am always happy to assist the team when things get broken and need repairing. I like to encourage our residents to help with small things around the home to promote independence
I have been working as a chef for over 20 years. When I was younger my aunt ran a pub and the chefs at the pub started to teach me how to cook. I was very eager to learn so watched how they cooked the meals and how they presented the food. I have worked as a chef in golf courses, private hospitals, pubs and care homes. I have a love for cooking main meals and like to teach and involved my colleagues in the kitchen with the day to day running of kitchen life. I enjoy talking to our residents directly and like to get to know their dietary needs. I have a 5 year old son who I adore and have been a qualified football referee for the past 14 years.
I have been a hairdresser for 4 years, but the pandemic encouraged me to become a carer. I am passionate about caring for the elderly and am thoroughly enjoying my new role. I have found it to be very rewarding and the team is very supportive. I’m looking forward to learning and taking on new challenges at Beulah vista.
I have been in the care sector for 22 years and have worked as a Senior Carer for the past 15 years. I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. I really do enjoy my job and have settled very well in my role at Beulah Vista. I am very interested in getting to know the background of our residents and finding out their hobbies and passions. I feel like I learn a lot from our residents by spending quality time with them and their families.
I live very local to Beulah Vista and saw the home being built. I have been a Senior Carer for the past 9 years and work the night shifts. I have two small daughters that I dote on and love watching them grow. I am creative and like to partake in events at Beulah Vista and love to decorate at Christmas time.
I like to lead by example and am keen to help develop our Health Care Assistants into Senior Carers. I have found our mini-modules very useful at Beulah Vista and enjoyed our induction week in the classroom.
I have been a Kitchen Assistant for the past 8 years and love working in the kitchen setting. I love baking and making desserts- I enjoy watching our residents enjoying something sweet with a nice cup of tea. I like to learn about our residents different cultures and food preferences, I learn something new everyday. I believe that good team work plays a huge part in the kitchen and I love to support my chefs as they support me. Family time is important and I spend lots of time with my family on my days off. I also enjoy listening to music and watching food competition programmes such as the British bake off.
